JOB SUMMARY:
- Develop and implement the Sales Promotion / Events strategy and manage the allocated budgets while extracting the maximum benefits in terms of business and stakeholder satisfaction
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Organize and project manage all distribution / channel meets at national and international level
- Conceptualization of events and procuring all necessary approvals in advance
- Finalizing and managing vendor partners
- Design of collaterals, procurement of materials, etc.
- Manage a cost budget of Rs. ~35 Cr related to all events across channels to effectively utilize drive synergies across teams to reduce cost and maximize sales
- Design and drive communication for all the events to create buzz and excitement in the sales force
- Scribe special releases, editorials for communication to field teams on behalf of CDO and Channel heads
MEASURE OF SUCCESS:
- Adherence to allocated budgets for the events
- Manage events with the desired guidelines / themes
- Smooth execution with NIL outages
- Participant Feedback
MINIMUM/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
- Management post graduate with at least 12 - 15 years of experience managing small and large scale events at national and international level
- Should have led a team with experience in retail sales environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage the relationships with stakeholders at various levels from CXO to front line sellers
- Very creative bent of thought process to design collaterals, create buzz and hype in large gatherings
- Good communication skills and ability to solve problems on the fly especially in event management areas
- Flair for sales promotion / empathy for frontline
KEY RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL /EXTERNAL)
- CEO / CDO / CFO of the organization
- Business heads of the respective sales channels
- Corporate Communications, Operations, Marketing, BPMA and Business Planning teams
- Front line sellers (Employees / Agents)
- Vendors / Partners (Travel, Merchandise, Event Management, Immigration Authorities etc.)
Indicative Time Allotment & Key Responsibilities :
Travel logistics and hospitality management : 35%
- Conceive, organize and manage events/conferences for various recognition platforms viz. Executive Council, CEO- s Council, MDRT, Champions Meet, Distribution Managers- Meet, Business Partner Meets
- Arrange for travel programs for consummating contest outcomes basis requirements
Customer Delight : 30%
- Understand what works for an end to end experience for distribution partner & other stakeholders
- Conceptualize balanced scorecard to capture NPS/C-SAT scores from a range of qualitative feedback
- Improvement in C-SAT score by x%
Adherence to event timelines, budgets and costs : 15%
- Work within laid out costs and budgets and optimize spends
Partner development and management :
- Identify, nurture, obtain preferential rates for fulfillment of contest giveaways and for organizing conferences
- Define innovative sales promotion material, drive win-win deals, ensure availability, emphasize speed and quality of execution, logistics
- Creativity in promotion format, choice of give away, industry benchmarking, continuous improvement
