Material Planner - FMCG

MATERIAL PLANNER

LOCATION - CHENNAI

INDUSTRY - FMCG

Our client ,a Fortune 100 company, is looking for materials planner who will conduct the RM/ PM supply planning process and ensure execution of agreed supply plans in coordination with demand, production, packaging, Procurement and Logistics functions. Own the processes pertaining to RM/ PM inventory norm definition and deployment and procurement planning in line with the monthly S&OP process. Support the Demand and production planner for any deviations to plans.

Responsibilities for this role will include

a) Define inventory norms at a plant level

b) Owns RM/ PM planning (including parameter definition in MRP)

c) Plans ordering of goods to support manufacturing and operations production plans for all plants within MU

d) Accountable for compliance with contract call-out plan in accordance with policies and procedures

e) Finalizes PR’s to ensure on-time arrival from various suppliers

f) Assesses supplier performance (quality & delivery schedule) and conducts reviews with suppliers in concert with category manager

Qualification

- University Degree – preferably Commercial/ Statistics/ Technical/Engineering.

- Post-Graduate qualifications preferably in Commercial/Business Management areas or CA or Trading & Export-Import Business Related Areas.

- Language proficiency in English (Written & Spoken) and Hindi as well as 1-2 other Indian Vernaculars (spoken at least).

- Engineering & Supply Chain background

- Ability to manage internal and external stake holders

- Savvy Negotiation Skills for warehousing and transportation

EXPERIENCE :

- Experience in understanding and analyzing org wide material planning processes is a key requirement for this role.

- Supply chain or Purchasing Back ground with 8-10 years experience in operating roles

- FMCG experience
