Job Title : Manager, Sourcing & Supplier Management
Overview :
- Sourcing & Supplier Management creates and maximizes shareholder value by effectively managing the MasterCard supply base across all business units, focusing on reducing cost & risk while improving value & supplier performance.
- This organization includes Regional Sourcing, Sourcing Centre of Excellence and Category Management and is on a journey to be recognized as a premier supply chain organization.
- Leverages MasterCard's global demand to develop and implement strategies that enable spend management, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risk.
- Partners with Business Stakeholders to develop regional sourcing strategy, category expertise, market conditions, industry trends, product knowledge, benchmarking, and emerging supply options.
- Partners amongst Sourcing & Supplier Management to develop supplier strategies that will reduce risk, improve supplier performance while enabling supplier diversity and innovation
Role :
- Collaborate with internal business partners to identify requirements and develop strategies for key categories and critical suppliers
- Drive the financial and risk conversations with your internal business partners from a sourcing perspective to ensure compliance to sourcing policy and achieve financial efficiencies
Responsibilities :
- Supports Regional Sourcing with supply base needs, handles more complex categories
- Manages sourcing strategy, sourcing operations and supplier relations to reduce costs and risks while improving value and supplier performance
- Develops category strategy for business unit and/or market strategies that enable spend management, improve supplier performance and mitigates risk
- Assists sourcing operations to provide category expertise by providing updates on market conditions, industry trends, product knowledge and emerging supply options
- Manages the strategic sourcing process by analyzing spend, defining requirements, developing strategy, authoring RFx's and negotiating contracts

- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization
- Innovative thinking, strong ability to identify sourcing opportunities and implement effectively
- Proven ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to organize, manage and work effectively to accomplish multiple tasks
- Very strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience in a strategic sourcing role in a best-in-class organization preferred
- Extensive internal and external communication skills required with operations, corporate personnel, and external suppliers
- Advanced contract negotiation experience and training
- Experience with Coupa sourcing systems is preferred
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's degree strongly preferred
Job Specific Experiences :
- Experience managing supply chains across multiple business units, reducing costs and risks while improving value and efficiencies
- Demonstrated strong ability to influence and manage senior stakeholder relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing and corporate services categories
- Experience participating on global category teams to implement strategies on spend management, supplier performance and risk mitigation
- Experience supporting and enabling supply chain transformation efforts and strategic initiatives
Broadening Experiences :
- Managed major elements of large, cross-functional projects
- Demonstrated consistent success working with partners across other business units in support of cross-functional programs
- Experience providing regular feedback to team members and resolving performance issues
- Experience interacting and communicating with executives to provide updates and recommendations on supply chain management
- Successfully develops a baseline understanding of Mastercard products
