Job Title : Manager, Platform services
Summary :
The Platform Services team provides server hardware, software and consulting services to MasterCard's internal and external customers to support MasterCard's strategic goals and objectives.
- Do you have experience with Unix/Linux, Solaris, Window's Servers, virtualization and enterprise storage devices?
- Are you a seasoned leader adept in collaborating in a global environment?
- Do you have experience in leading cross-functional teams and inspiring them to deliver technical solutions efficiently, while providing outstanding customer support?
Role :
- Manages projects, which include responsibility for planning time, resource utilization and implementation.
- Manage the deployment of standardized hardware and software solutions to meet project deliverables.
- Drive lifecycle management (LCM) for supported hardware platforms, which includes technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades.
- Supports chronic complex problem resolution and managerial operational support, as necessary.
- Manage multiple vendor relationships.
- Coaches and develops direct reports and other employees, ensuring the department is adequately staffed, trained and managed.
- Ensure team initiatives align with business goals and processes are maintained to meet specific service and quality standards.
- Recommend and implement business or process improvements, recognizing global perspectives.
- Recommends future technology direction.
All about You:
- Bachelors in Computer Science
- Experience managing Unix/Linux, Solaris, Window's Servers, virtualization and/or enterprise storage platforms.
- Effective at leading and managing global and cross-functional teams of senior technical individual contributors.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, prioritization skills, and the ability to effectively communicate issues and project status across multiple levels within an organization.
- Experience with managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to effectively handle personnel issues and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Provide functional and directional guidance to staff
- Need to have team management experience
- Need to have excellent knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience in banking/financial operations is desirable
- We need team members with an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation.
- Experience in working across operations teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships is a must.
