Director, Expert Sales

Overview :

- The Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS) team's primary objective is to make Mastercard the safest, simplest, and smartest way to pay by developing products and services to protect our network, reduce fraud, improve authentication, and offer our customers the right tools to advance on digital security and enhancing their consumer experience.

- As part of this organization, Expert Sales - ESS leads the creation and delivery of innovative security & authentication solutions enabling cardholders to experience simple yet secure purchases however and wherever they chose to transact.

- This individual will be based out of Gurgaon, India and support the VP, Expert Sales as the subject matter expert in all ESS and Identity Solutions (IS) products and programs. He or she will help deliver ESS and IS South Asia go-to-market strategies in line with Global and AP Strategies, establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and take an active role in end-to-end sales and solution implementation lifecycles to support the ambitious expansion of Mastercard's Safety and Security initiatives across the South Asia Division.

Role :

Essential functions and responsibilities of the Director, Expert Sales - ESS include:

- Support the VP, Expert Sales, South Asia in Delivering the Go To Market strategy of ESS and Identity Solutions products, increase penetration/cross sell opportunities and expand distribution across the South Asia Division.

- Develop and execute sales strategies which maximize revenue and profit in ESS and Identity Solutions, covering but not limited to EMS/FRM, (Fraud Prevention products), Automatic Billing Updater (ABU), Authorizations IQ, Decision Intelligence, 3DS 2.0, Identity Check, Location Alerts, Biometrics (Fingerprint, Facial Recognition, system-on-card), Risk-based Authentication.

- Partner with regional product, account management, and product management teams to execute market development and go-to-market initiatives for ESS and Identity Solutions within supported markets. Support Account team efforts to build ESS/IS Account plans

- Develop reporting, analytics and presentations for tracking key initiatives, product utilization and performance in supported markets. Conduct analyses & data mining to identify & capture opportunities. Build and manage ESS/IS sales Pipeline.

- Sell extended support as part of our strategy of - going deeper- in our relationship with the banks.

- Clearly articulate the ESS and Identity Solutions value proposition for our customers, including banks, merchants and digital partners, so it can be clearly understood and communicated by customer facing teams.

All About You :

- Proven experience of selling and knowledge about fraud prevention and digital payment solutions and platforms to financial institutions.

- Account management experience - ability to understand customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape. Ability to identify and capture opportunities for increasing MasterCard revenue and profitability, while maintaining customer focus.

- Disciplined approach to sales pipeline development, management, tracking and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills - ability to identify issues before they develop into problems and to proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners/stakeholders.

- Strong team working skills - ability to work collaboratively and both independently and in a team environment.

- Excellent organizational skills; project delivery and project management experience working with regional market teams.

- Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree or MBA a plus.

- Position requires up to 50% travel.

Desirable capabilities :

- Prior experience for a large bank, processor, vendor, or card brand in the electronic payments industry, with solid understanding of the card payments industry (players, operational model, drivers).

- High preference for action - results driven and with a disciplined approach to deliver sales targets
