Overview
- The Applications Development Team is a dedicated collection of self-organizing, interdependent, co-located individuals representing different functional roles with all the necessary skills to turn Product Backlog items into a potentially shippable increment within the Sprint.
- Feature teams consist of team members who may be developers, testers, analysts, architects, designers and even users.
The team is cross-functional, which means that between all its members they possess sufficient skills to do the work.
There is no dictated leadership hierarchy within the team members.
- Partner with business owners to understand new business opportunities and define the business and technical requirements.
- The role of the Business Analyst is to deliver high quality business and technical expertise to assist analyst team in delivery of requirements to the development teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle.
Role
- Provide advanced business knowledge and technical support for requirements development.
- Develop strategy/provide business perspective for project development and prioritization.
- Propose / develop plans for innovative initiatives that extend MasterCard functionality / services.
- Work closely with analysts, developers and requestors identifying data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems.
- Provide technical and advisory support to ensure the development and implementation of applications that provide adherence to business requirements.
- Lead project analysis to provide current processing insight and guide desired outcome.
- Provide "day to day" guidance to team members for business / project initiatives.
- Evaluate the impact of potential system changes on the membership and on other applications.
- Lead process improvement initiatives.
Interface with senior managers to provide consultative services related to key initiatives.
