What is the purpose of the job-
The purpose of the job is to ensure the designs of master data business processes are (1) in line with global standards, (2) scalable, (3) aligned across functions and (4) follow best industry practices while provide the necessary governance and oversight to ensure processes are operated compliantly.
What are the main activities the person in the job is responsible for -
- Interact with finance, commercial, production & supplies towers leads and key users to drive the continuous improvement in Master Data Management processes for vendor
- Provide leadership and expertise in order to challenge, support, enable and improve master data management process for vendors.
- Set the strategic direction and drive towards global harmonization for master data business processes for vendors
- Interact, collaborate with Global Business Process Consultants and other clients/ stakeholders to influence and ensure alignment on standards and processes, the business strategy within the process area
- Ensure the designs of business processes are (1) in line with global standards, (2) scalable, (3) aligned across functions and (4) follow best industry practices.
- Measure and improve continuously the effectiveness and efficiency of global processes through Operational Excellence techniques.
- Set the framework through which the Design Authorities assess compliance with the global process standards
- Identify opportunities resulting from situational changes such as new regulation, data insights, new business situations to shape new business processes
- Provide feedback to Service Managers in the Global Delivery Centre (GDC) on the performance of processes - identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Provide process expertise to deliver change and support the early phases of global projects
- Act as single point of contact for stakeholders to receive information on programs, projects, MDM services and process activities
- Take accountability of all small changes to processes

Changes to business process are delivered in a way that adheres to standards
Compliance of projects within approved process and system standards
Support strategic planning for major changes to processes and provide specialist knowledge to enable change to be defined

Describe the team and the work environment: The job holder will be a member of a team of 7-8 MDM Consultants.
Open office environment, virtual working through latest communication technology (Tele-presence), occasional travel

Complexity: The role require to understand business processes around commercial master data and the technical knowledge to provide the right solution. They need to be able to influence functional clients and manage their expectations.
Experience required for the job
Essential:
- 10+ years of experience in the area of enterprise business information and master data
- More than 5 years - experience in Master Data Management
- Business Process experience in Commercial function for Manufacturing Industry (preferable in vendor master data)
- Functional knowledge in supply chain for manufacturing, procurement, logistics or order management
- Understanding of Master Data Life Cycle, and importance and impact of Master Data on Business Processes
- Has worked for a multinational and been exposed to multiple cultures
- University degree in commercial/ business or technical/ IT subject
- Good communicator and influencer. Is able to convey in laymen's language to senior stakeholders
- SAP MM, SAP MDM
Desirable:
- LEAN/Six Sigma qualification
- Familiar with Logical Data Models
- Deep knowledge of the business challenges with customer and vendor master data
- Lived abroad previously
- Self-Motivated with sound analytical reasoning
Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job
- University IT degree
- LEAN/Six Sigma qualification
Experience to be gained in the job:
- Creating a sustainable client relationship with stakeholders globally in commercial function
