Mashreq - Head/Vice President - Information Management/Enterprise Data Platform

Job Title : Enterprise Data Platform Head (Vice President)

Direct Supervisor : One Data & Analytics Head (Executive VP)

Job Purpose :

- The Information Management stream delivers outcomes to help different parts of the bank gain meaningful insights from their Data Assets. Our core function spans multiple Data Warehouses, Data Lake, Business Intelligence and Reg Reporting within Information Management.

- The work involves managing delivery spanning over Data Lake, DWH, ETL, Reporting & Analytics application landscape.

- You will be handling critical applications that influence banks management decision making process, regulatory reporting (which can influence financial/non-financial penalties) and operational reporting.

Key Result Areas :

Application Ownership:

- Be the owner of Data Lake, DHW, BI and reg reporting applications.

- Handling & controlling of end-to-end technology setup of all the 4 clusters.

- To drive all technical upgrades, infra management activities related to the application.

- Continuous improvement agenda for applications you handle.

Cloud Adoption & Migration:

- Responsible for the adoption & migration of on-prem data to cloud.

- Lead the creation of a bank-wide hybrid data model.

Project Delivery:

- Ensure end to end deliver of projects.

- Get involved in Requirement Analysis, perform the role of Technical Architect.

- Design & develop the solution

- Involve in UAT, SIT & Deployment

- Do necessary documentation

Change Delivery:

- Delivery of the changes asked within the application

- Adherence to quality & timeline

- Conducting proper testing and implementing bug free changes

Data Governance:

- Build and manage data governance platform.

- Come up with data governance standards and policies.

- Ensure adherence of data governance policies across the board.

Innovation:

- Identifying the areas/scopes for innovation like Automation & new Tech.

- Bring in Real-Time, Event Based Data streaming into the Bank.

Relationship Management:

- Build stakeholder connects

- Be the SPoC for the applications you handle

Core Skills:

- 15-18 Years of Total Experience in data area DWH and Data Lake (Hadoop)

- At least 7+ Years of Expertise & Knowledge in Big Data Development, Design & Architecture Spark, Python, Kafka, Sqoop, Ambari, Hive, HDFS Strong DB knowledge in Oracle/SQL Server Strong in writing SQL, PL/SQL Sound in Data Management

- Fundamentals Knowledge in cloud services (Azure/AWS) Knowledge in Banking will be a plus Additional
