Job Description:


- Marut Drones is seeking a Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality assurance processes across supplier quality, in-process quality, and customer satisfaction.

- This role ensures compliance with industry standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements, including ISO9001:2015 and DGCA audits.

- The Quality Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability by collaborating with suppliers, production teams, and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Quality & Incoming Quality:

- Establish and implement Supplier/Incoming Quality Control procedures and work instructions.

- Monitor supplier rejections and drive corrective and preventive actions through 8D reports.

- Assess supplier performance and take necessary actions for improvement on underperforming vendors.

- Conduct new supplier qualification in compliance with ISO9001:2015.

- Provide technical training and guidance to suppliers for continuous improvement.

- Ensure timely clearance of parts once GRN is completed.

- Conduct mechanical and electronic component inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and legal standards.

- Implement inspection and function testing methodologies for incoming parts.

- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to management.

- Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and vendor ratings in collaboration with procurement.

In-Process Quality:

- Ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) improvement in the production line.

- Work with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to reduce production scrap.

- Ensure zero-defect launch of new products by validating all quality documentation before release.

- Strengthen manufacturing processes through the implementation of jigs and fixtures.

- Conduct defect analysis using 7QC tools and implement corrective actions.

- Participate in daily morning meetings to discuss quality concerns and resolutions.

- Provide training on quality tools and best practices to production operators through small group activities.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

- Implement Engineering Change Request (ECR)/Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.

- Ensure proper documentation, including quality alerts, SOPs, drawings, and flowcharts.

Regulatory & DGCA Audit Compliance:

- Lead internal and external quality audits, including DGCA compliance audits.

- Support process owners in developing new quality processes.

- Develop and implement four levels of documentation as per ISO9001 standards.

- Ensure full compliance with DGCA audit requirements with zero non-conformities (NCs).

- Maintain calibration records and due date tracking for equipment.

Customer Complaints & Aftersales Support:

- Participate in daily aftersales meetings and provide technical support where needed.

- Ensure zero manufacturing defects and prevent plug-in failures.

- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) through 8D methodology.

- Lead drone crash analysis by conducting root cause identification using 4M analysis.

- Collaborate with R&D and supplier teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of failures.

Knowledge and skill required:

- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality management, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality in a similar industry.

- Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015, DGCA regulations, and quality control methodologies.

- Experience with 8D methodology, 7QC tools, CAPA, and root cause analysis (RCA).

- Proficiency in handling ECR/ECO processes and regulatory compliance audits.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, R&D, and Production).

- Excellent communication skills to train teams and liaise with suppliers.
