- Training and Development head is responsible for partnering with the business to develop strategic, innovative, and impactful learning initiatives.
- This position will work with business partners to develop customized solutions and make recommendations to meet their business needs and to ensure that the associates are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities to maximize their roles and exceed business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with leaders throughout the business and human resources to determine key roles for business success and builds talent development programs for the identified roles to ensure critical talent possesses the competencies and skills necessary to yield maximum effectiveness.
- Creates and sustains relationships with business leaders to build strategic learning initiatives to drive desired business outcomes.
- In partnership with talent development team, creates and executes programs for onboarding, career development, and high-potential associates
- Determines appropriate mechanism for learning delivery through multiple modalities such as training manuals, job aids, e-learning, and videos
- Conducts frequent needs analyses across retail formats to identify gaps and recommend solutions for learning initiatives to improve business performance.
- Maintains a keen understanding of the business strategy across retail formats to determine necessary training and development programs to drive business performance.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree + MBA - Over 12 years of related experience
- Experience in building and developing high performing teams and partnerships
- Deep knowledge of instructional design, various training delivery methods, and how to distinguish as to which method is most appropriate based on learning need.
- Project management expert; ability to meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly and begin projects to completion on time and within budget
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dynamic, high-energy individual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to effectively drive results through others, including those that are not direct reports
- Strategic and critical thinker known for creative problem solving and ability to understand and solve complex business problems
- Track record of proven success creating and executing leadership and developmental programs for key positions and high potential associates
- Prior experience working in a customer facing, service selling organization.
