A Rs 5,200 Crore Conglomerate with six diverse businesses and have set itself a target of reaching a size of Rs 20,000 Crores by year 2020, achieving at least Rs 1 Crore per employee. In line with this over-arching strategy, they have recently hired a US-experienced Professional to head their Corporate Strategy, Planning and Development. Our Client is now hiring members to this team (a Marketing Strategy Lead).

Strategy Planning within the Group is conducted in a 2-tier structure and is driven by CEOs and Group Functional Heads along with Promoters.

Role & Candidate Profile :

Marketing Strategy Lead :

- Ideal Professional for this role would be an MBA in Marketing or Operations or Strategy from Tier I Schools only. Prior to this, s/he could be an Economics / Finance Graduate.

- Ideal age 28 to 34. Work experience in consulting Organizations or world class Conglomerates would be preferred.

Broad role :

- Utilizes market research, industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, country assessments, in determining and developing commercial strategy for the various products in different SBUs of the Group

- Develop and propose Market Strategies for current product line across regions - in local and global markets

- Develop and propose Market Strategies for potential new product induction in local and global markets through white space analysis

- Develop Financial Models to determine ROI and to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions

- Collaborate with the Technology Strategy Lead to quickly develop and propose market opportunities for upcoming technologies, M&As and start-up proposals

- Forecasts revenue opportunities and trends based on microscopic and macroscopic economy environments

- Facilitate process and product improvements that support strategies and organizational goals, while building strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in the process and to manage change initiatives

- Monitor regional market trends and identifies and reports risks and opportunities

- Develop and roll out Market Research tools and procedures across the organization

- Manage and train Business Analysts who will offer strategy support to individual SBU

- Proficiency in use of statistical modeling tools would be expected

- Exposure to use of Tableau, Crystal Ball would be preferable
