The Marketing Operations Lead will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the cost and effectiveness of Marketing & Customer Management (M&CM) processes, and for working with the teams across M&CM to spot efficiency that will make M&CM continuously improve.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and executing M&CM reporting, operational and budget processes in support of creating efficient and effective lead generation and retention programmes. The role holder will lead on the development of budget and data analysis that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders from across the company. The Individual will also have responsibility for a range of projects and will be required to facilitate and build strong working relationships with internal support / stakeholder functions - including Engineering, Compliance Customer Services, Product and Analysis.
CRITICAL BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
- Develop key processes to support implementation of marketing priorities
- Create and maintain metrics and reporting on Marketing and Customer Management (M&CM) budget effectiveness, and business impact.
- Build and manage a marketing dashboard to provide reporting on marketing performance and budget management metrics
- Ensure marketing analysis and sales data is produced to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for M&CM optimization.
- Identify ways to streamline M&CM workflows through automation, marketing (operations) management analysis and ROI reporting. Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize M&CM performance.
- Lead the Streamlining of processes and integration of systems to increase operational efficiency and performance visibility
- Ensure M&CM project plans are clear and fully formed and support the drive through of project progress to achieve defined deadlines
- Ensure M&CM team needs are clearly scoped and submitted to support functions (e.g. Engineering)
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Skills and Experience
- Educated to University degree or college diploma level
- Solid project Management experience - project Management qualifications (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, Prince 2) an advantage, but not essential
- 4+ years experience in Marketing, Project Management or Operations
- High business acumen to exploit best practices, yielding results
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
- Highly analytical with the ability to develop ROI metrics / dashboard
- Proven experience working with databases, marketing automation and workflow systems
- Able to proactively streamline workflow processes and use analytics to measure programme success
- Ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organisation with a proven capability to drive progress of project
- Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and solve problems or business situations
- Experience of working across and with teams based in multiple geographies
Competencies Required
- Driving Success: Ability to identify critical paths and drive the M&CM operational structure and reporting to support the achievement of complex deliverable with a commitment to quality and time. Focusing on accomplishing the key objectives of both self, team and business goals
- Structuring Tasks: Operating across multiple teams, to be successful, the role holder is required to work methodically, plan activities and set priorities, often at speed. The ability to maintain productivity and multi-task is therefore also important.
- Processing Details: The role is time critical to manage and report on M&CM reporting and budgets, the individual will be required to meet deadlines, keep to schedule and finish tasks in an accurate and high quality way.
- Creating Innovation: Role holder is a self-starter and driven individual able to anticipate trends and audience requirements to produce effective ideas, invent approaches, and adopt stand out solutions to drive Marketing & Customer Management (M&CM) operational success.
- Developing people: As a manager within M&CM the role holder will be expected to contribute to, support and nurture the development and success of our teams in India and the wider M&CM function as a whole.
