JOB OBJECTIVES:
To create and implement a long term profitable product group of the primary Brand - and other brands of the company.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A) PLANNING :
1) Managing & growing current categories of the Brand.
2) Map the existing products in geographies & work out region wise schemes / activations for growth
3) Studying and identifying the new categories suitable for extending the Brand
4) Identifying new Product opportunities for launches in line with growth plans for the Brand.
5) Setting the Product Mix plan for the new products.
6) Plan for Growth of each Product and the Brands Norms and Benchmarks for Market Coverage and Presence; Reach and Efficiency.
- Involvement in Terms of trade finalization, Joint Business Planning, Promotions, SKU registration - with Key accounts.
- Policies, Systems and Processes
B) OPERATIONS :
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Complete study of the Category and setting the market share objectives
- Developing the Marketing Mix & Brand Development
- New Product development & product life cycle management
- Development & Management of all ATL and BTL programs / communications
- Management of Creative, Media and Market research agencies.
- Cost Management & budgeting - Packaging, Production, Promotions, & BTL.
- Work with projects for production - either in-house / third party.
- Initiate localization projects to improve gross margins.
- Efficient implementation of the plans for launch of the product.
- Conduct the necessary Market Research activities to gain feedbacks.
- Competitor analysis.
C) PEOPLE MANAGEMENT :
a. Leading, mentoring, training & monitoring the LAUNCH OF THE Product by the Sales teams in the target areas and from Sales Promotions & Marketing function to achieve functional KRAs
b. Create/sustain a collaborative & performance oriented environment while providing development opportunities to others in the Marketing team.
