Key Responsibilities :
- The incumbent is directly accountable for marketing, directing and control of the annual budgeted marketing plan in order to accomplish pre-determined objectives and goals.
- He /She is responsible to deliver products to end consumers, maximize sales and market share within the budgeted expenses to achieve optimum profits.
Role and Responsibilities :
The key responsibilities for the position shall include the following :
- Product management
- Brand management
- Product development
- New product sourcing and launching
- Developing marketing policies and plans
- Organizing and operating marketing functions such as sales projections, product pricing, media planning, advertising, execution of promotional schemes and monitoring all marketing activities.
- Directing, implementing market policies, controlling and evaluating marketing activities. Conducting market surveys, market research and analyzing studies for making decisions.
- Study and evaluate overall economic climate.
- Identifying business opportunities and new products.
- Appraising performance of the marketing personnel working under him.
- Communicating market performance to the management and to the sales and marketing personnel.
- Developing training program for sales and marketing team.
- The position reports to the General Manager/CEO
Required :
- Masters of Business Administration with 10-15 years of work experience
- Minimum 5 years of marketing branded food products (ideally) in a FMCG Company in a senior role
- Experience in Nigeria / West Africa is mandatory
- The person should be a self-starter and has the drive to achieve the desired objectives
- The person must be able to express himself/herself clearly in both written & spoken English
