Marketing Manager - JioMart
The Marketing Manager is a creative & tech savvy individual who will collaborate with the merchandising, marketing & category teams to plan, coordinate and execute the look and feel of new & existing categories, drive visual merchandising, product and content updates on the JioMart marketplace. He/She will be responsible to promote key products, categories and trends with an objective to drive discoverability and conversion of key categories to in partnership with Merchandising and Marketing team.
The candidate would be responsible for managing the setup and presentation of products and categories on the JioMart marketplace. Leverages historical data to test new strategies, to manage categorization, product display order, landing pages, product features, and cross sell/upsells. The individual will own the marketing promotions calendar and will define the customer acquisition and retention strategies based on rigorous data-driven customer insights.
This is an early-stage opportunity with JioMart with a chance to own and build the customer experience for key categories on the platform. You will get a chance to work directly with the key stakeholders and shape the journey of JioMart in India. We are looking for an individual who can thrive in ambiguity, is innovative and creative to deliver the best in class on site experience for our customers.
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Own the traffic and conversion funnel of the home page/category and its products with visually appealing merchandising initiatives for JioMart marketplace while ensuring a smooth navigation for the customers.
- Partners with Merchandising, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to assist in developing compelling merchandising themes and story-telling for each category including stores and landing pages to feature trends, marketing initiatives and promotions. Responsible for executing on-site.
- Own and manage the annual marketing and merchandising calendar with respect to upcoming sale, events etc to ensure discoverability of different products and categories while keeping ensuring easy navigation for the customers.
- Sets up and schedules homepage updates, new content pages, promotions and features to be aligned with the marketing calendar. Responsible for QA of homepages, links, and redirects.
- Examines site daily/weekly to ensure products are in the correct categories, promotions are functioning, links lead to the correct categories/pages and product set up is accurate. Tests new features and functionality as needed.
- Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate merchandise, promotions, features and product presentation to inform future strategies.
- Create monthly/annual properties which are supported by ATL/BTL/CRM initiatives to drive new traffic, conversions for different categories and overall platform.
Required Qualifications :
- 4-5+ years of experience in merchandising - ideally at an Ecommerce Marketplace.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience with creative development process - from concept to execution in partnership with agencies/internal teams
- Experience with using Excel to maintain and analyse data on a regular basis
- Experience working with cross functional teams to drive specific objectives
- Demonstrated ability to take data driven decisions for customer facing functions
- Being able to manage multiple projects and co-ordinate with internal teams with a strong focus on delivering results.
Qualification required : MBA/Post Graduate from a Tier-1 or 2 B-School
