Main purpose of the role
- Evolve business strategies and Implement marketing and promotion strategies to ensure the growth of Key product lines like SRB / LSB / CRB / ACBB / DGBB / SABB in the RSS Industrial and OE markets
Key Responsibilities
- Together with the management team plans the Key product line strategy, related businessplan targets.
- Has overall responsibility for strategizing and driving the product line strategy.
- Identifying customer need in consultation with market research firms for industrial OEM & after market customers to create value differentiation against competition .
- Map and identify new profitable business opportunities / business areas in the product & accessories to increase the market share
- Market segmentation business wise /product wise / Segment wise in order to achieve the business plan.
- Understanding the trend & projecting business growth and profitability over 3-4 years horizon
- Design & develop product based campaigns to create awareness & accelerate the sales growth in Industrial after market & OEM customers .
- Develop a marketing & promotion plan for RSS which includes Exhibitions , Customer meets , Technology Days , Hoardings , MARCOM ,email campaigns , Demo tools , Promotion vans …etc .
- Develop pricing strategy & MRP price list in consultation with Sales Head , RSM’s and controlling dept & align it to Group’s Pricing policies .
- Competitor Analysis on Pricing , Range, Promotions, product gaps and co-ordination with factories for development and Price negotiations.
- Market analysis on product line level with regards to Segments /Strategic customers
- Maintaining and growing the profitability of the Product lines
- Segment / customer Mapping for key product lines
- Competence development of the organization and Distributors with close co-ordination and support from Application engineering team
- High level interaction & Co-ordination to get support from the Global product Managers to ensure profitable growth and increase in market share.
- Implements new capabilities for new products and services.
- Opportunity management through CRM tool like Siebel & making the input available for sales development
- Helps drive communication and 'buy in' of project plans and goals horizontally and vertically throughout the organizations including executive staff levels.
- Proactively identifies project risk and puts contingency plans in place; facilitates and works to resolve critical technical and project issues as they impact deployment plans.
- Monitor and report developments. trends in industry, segment and customer including competitor handling on key product lines.
Knowledge and experience required
Education
1) Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from premier Engineering Institutes with a full time Post graduation in Business management
2) Around 8 -12 years of experience in engineering Industry in product marketing management for Channel Sales & OEM Sales development.
