You will build and implement the company's corporate communications strategy with special focus on PR, ORM & Crisis Management. In this capacity, you will work closely with the BFS Group Corp Comm (GCC) team.
Corporate Communications Strategy
- Build and implement the corporate communications strategy to meet business objectives and increase brand saliency, creating a positive imagery for the brand and its offerings amongst all stakeholders.
- Design and development of a media relations strategy that promotes, protects and builds on company's reputation and ensures alignment with company's strategies and priorities
PR
- Lead the media relations function for the organization; find opportunities to create a positive impression for the brand using earned media
- Work closely with key internal and external partners to align communication objectives
- Creating a positive media profile and positioning
- Build and manage a efficient ecosystem of agencies, media houses and freelancers
ORM
- Build and manage a robust Online Reputation Management unit across all social channels that the brand is present
- Evaluate and onboard an online listening tool; manage capabilities and regularly publish dashboards and actionable items
- Build a favourable image of the brand across social channels through a proactive approach
Crisis Management
- Work closely with the GCC team on a framework to mitigate reputation risks arising out of organization crises.
Content production
- Write executive talking points and speeches for various internal and external events, including sourcing relevant data and context for inclusion, drafting remarks, and building consensus among subject matter experts
- Oversee written and digital content that effectively communicates the firm's impact on communities, including leading content development and updates for the website
- Support ad hoc communications assignments across Public Relations and Crisis Communications
New capabilities
- Drive the development of capabilities around production, automation, distribution and amplification, thereby leading to a reduction in TAT and costs
- Identifying opportunities for new formats and channels for corp comm
Customer obsession and governance
- Create checks and balances in the system so that all customer-facing content is first time right, every time
Performance tracking
- Create a robust KPI frame for the unit and a real-time tracking mechanism
- Tracking and analysing all metrics

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

a) Qualifications
- Graduate/ Post-Graduate
- Has a post graduate degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing with a PR or Advertising focus, English language.
b) Work Experience
- 7-10 years of experience driving innovative communications, public affairs and media relations strategies for a large & renowned corporate brand or at an agency for such a brand. Minimum 5 years experience in Asset Management or Securities businesses
- Experience in managing media relations, including issues management and direct interaction with journalists
- Excellent verbal & written skills with a flexible, conversational tone - from speechwriting to social media
- Strong executive presence and experience in doing executive communications; confident communicator and presenter
- Excellent project management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Tactical understanding of all primary media outlets and social media platforms
- Proven ability to be a team player and build effective relationships and networks
- A proven track record of successful PR campaigns Prior experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist
