JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Market Risk Analysts as well as deputizing for the Head of CRO Mumbai. The team is responsible for the daily production of risk reports and market risk analysis per asset class and at a consolidated level.

Role Involves:

- Manage a team of market risk analysts who are responsible for delivering risk information across the majority of asset classes

- To be responsible for growing the team by recruiting analysts and nurturing and developing existing team members

- Drive innovative and value added market risk controls to enhance report quality, effectiveness, accuracy & timeliness

- To effectively allocate resources across team

- To deputize for the CRO Mumbai Head by assisting in running the division as well as attending various forums requiring CRO Mumbai attendance

- To build relationships and work collaboratively with the Risk teams globally (London, Singapore and New York)

Qualification:

- Degree in a quantitative discipline

- Post graduate degree in a numerate / quantitative subject preferred

- Experience from a Global Bank. Experience gained from working in international locations is preferred.

- Excellent practical experience within Market Risk

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Good experience in managing a team

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Highly motivated, energetic and proactive individual with an ability to take ownership and responsibility of their tasks / projects

- A team player with good upward and downwards communication skills is also essential
