Hedge Fund Technologist/Programmer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description

The Technologist is responsible for writing high quality software that interacts with various systems such as databases, Excel, intranet, trading systems, and vendor applications. The position is also responsible for providing real-time support for software, sometimes under time pressure. This position will work closely with portfolio managers, traders and back office personnel.

Candidate Profile

MARCO seeks exceptionally talented candidates who are detail oriented, have strong analytical and programming abilities equally matched with successful interpersonal skills.

- Strong understanding of C++/C#, and SQL is required

- Knowledge of Python, VBA, Excel add-in development, and Javascript/JQuery is a plus

- Thorough understanding of equities, swaps, and derivatives

- Work with vendor applications include Bloomberg, Risk Metrics, Eze, and Geneva

Ideal candidates hold a Master's of Science from a top Financial Engineering program. Post graduates and graduates from top-tier schools may apply only if profile is suitable to their current/past experience. Experience related to distributed computing, data mining, machine learning, or non-linear optimization also would be desirable. At a minimum all candidates would need to demonstrate proficiency with VBA, SQL and Python knowledge before receiving the offer.

Compensation

Compensation is highly competitive with base salary and year-end bonus. Benefits include health, dental, and vacation.
