Manufacturing Manager - Production - CNC/Motor

Looking for Production Manager having experience of managing 200 workers unionized category CNC shop, Assembly of motors and testing of Motors .

Requirements and Responsibility:

- Responsible for achieving plant KPI by periodically reviewing, analyzing and taking appropriate actions by effectively collaborating with cross functional teams

- Develop, coach and lead team of production supervisors towards meeting the department objectives derived from plant KPI

- Responsible for up keeping and managing of production machineries, assembly and test equipments.

- Should have good knowledge in CNC, conventional machining and assembly and testing of motors

- Responsible for handling new products without affecting the regular production

- Should establish short turn around in training the new trainees to meet highly flexible demand from customers.

- Should be part of IBP (Integrated business plan) supplier review and present to the India leadership team on resource (Men and Machine) availability and requirements every month based on forecast for the window 4 to 18 months.

- Should have implementation and managing knowledge of ISO 9001 activities related to production

- Develop and motivate the sub ordinates (direct workers) to meet and exceed established labor hours in all areas of production.

- Receive and route the Work Order properly and ensure the labor hours are fed back into the system.

- Notify management of any issues that may impact shipments, cost, quality, personnel morale or company reputation

- Responsible for WIP and shopfloor inventory. Conduct stock verification every month and publish report.

- Responsible for maintaining discipline and healthy IR in the shopfloor.

- Maintain compliance with systems and procedures, company policies, safety standards and good house keeping practices

- Should have knowledge on 5S, lean, workplace organization, TPM,, EHS, NVA, process approach

- To participate in recruitment, performance management and appraisal of Supervisors and Group leaders.

- Able to handle day to day issues related to employees.

- Should have good knowledge in Process FMEA, CP, PFD, SPC, MSA and other tools with in organization.

Qualifications:

Education/degree

- BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Work experience

- Min 10 to 15 years of experience for B.E excluding Training period.

- Hands on experience in using problem solving tools like 8D, seven qc tools

- Hands on experience in SPC, MSA, PFMEA

- Six Sigma Green belt / Black belt is an added advantage

Other skills, experiences or highly desirable qualifications

- The incumbent must be a proficient user of various statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages
