Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Brand Manager to lead the growth of one of our flagship consumer healthcare products. This is an exciting opportunity to drive brand strategy, consumer engagement, and product innovation within a key product category that holds significant importance for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute the annual brand marketing plan for the assigned product.
- Define both short-term and long-term brand strategies to strengthen brand equity and grow market share.
- Utilize consumer insights and market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and brand growth.
- Partner with creative agencies to ensure consistent brand messaging and impactful advertising across channels.
Product & Campaign Management:
- Lead end-to-end development of integrated marketing campaigns, including ATL, BTL, and digital initiatives.
- Oversee product innovation, packaging upgrades, and brand extensions to meet evolving market and consumer demands.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales and supply chain, to ensure timely product launches and smooth execution.
Sales & Market Insights:
- Collaborate with the sales team to align brand strategy with execution at the field level.
- Analyze sales performance and market trends to adjust go-to-market strategies.
- Conduct regular market visits to gather insights from consumers and trade partners.
Budget Management:
- Manage the brand's P&L, ensuring optimal use of marketing budgets.
- Track and analyze the return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities and make adjustments to maximize impact.
Digital & Social Media Leadership:
- Lead the digital strategy for the product, focusing on social media, influencer marketing, and e-commerce growth.
- Monitor online engagement and brand sentiment, adjusting the digital strategy as needed to maintain positive consumer perception.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with the public relations team to manage brand reputation and handle any crisis communication.
- Lead collaboration with external partners including media agencies, influencers, and event organizers to enhance brand visibility.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical Prowess: Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and consumer insights to inform decision-making.
- Consumer Insight-driven: Deep understanding of consumer behavior and preferences, particularly in the health and wellness sector.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external agency relationships effectively.
- Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think outside the box and innovate while maintaining brand consistency.
- Digital Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and e-commerce platforms.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: MBA from a top-tier institute (IIMs or equivalent premium B-schools).
Experience:
- 7-10 years of overall experience, with at least 2-3 years of sales experience in a leading FMCG company.
- Substantial experience in brand management with a proven track record of growing large brands within the FMCG/OTC industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in FMCG is essential, with exposure to OTC, personal care, or consumer health being highly preferred.
- Track Record: Proven success in scaling brands, driving consumer engagement, and achieving marketing KPIs.
