Department: Supply Chain & Procurement.

Experience: 18+ years of experience.

Brief Roles and responsibilities:

- The role holder will be responsible for the formulation and deployment of Category Management & Procurement Strategy for the organization that meets current business requirements and is scalable for growth.

- The position incumbent shall develop a supplier base to ensure long-term value delivery and cost management by efficiently leading Category Management activities across all Units and Teaching Hospitals.

- The scope would cover the individual categories of Direct Material (covering spends on Pharmacy, Laboratory, Medical & General Consumables, Implants, etc.), Indirect Material & Services (covering spends on IT, Marketing, Travel & Living, Repair & Maintenance, Appliances, etc.) and Biomedical Equipment and Services.

- The position holder shall also lead the teams involved in the category management & procurement, and shall champion the creation of sustainable processes & systems.

- The role holder shall also constantly contribute to developing the team members' professional and technical skills, and thereby contribute to their career growth.

- The position incumbent shall be responsible for design and development of category management strategy for the organisation.

- Establish guidelines on supplier quality assessment and supplier accreditation and up gradation, and monitor implementation of the same.

- Monitor and analyse trends in procurement and make recommendations for future, identifying areas for possible cost savings as well as technology adoption.

- Track new trends in the domestic & global arena for possible adoption at the organization.

- Review of regular reports on material cost savings and provide the same to senior management.

- Mentor, provide operational leadership and technical guidance to the team.

Qualification: Tech / B.Post Graduate in Supply Chain.
