Role: Manipal Salesforce Academy Business Lead

Reporting To: Chief Business Officer

KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (Position Summary):

We are partnering with Salesforce to build a continuous talent pool of Salesforce qualified professionals for the Industry, Partner Community and Salesforce India by leveraging a best in class finishing school model that builds on an Industry - Academia partnership.

This role will be critical to the overall business strategy of MaGE. Following three business models/training programs are part of this partnership:

1. B2C: Open Salesforce developer certification program

2. B2B: Custom version of the above B2C program designed specifically for Salesforce Global System Integrators ecosystem and Salesforce end-user clients

3. B2A (Business to Academia): Basic version of Salesforce Developer and Administrator modules targeting students in the final year of their graduation

The business leader would be responsible for driving each of the above business models on end-to-end basis, with activities ranging from defining overall strategy, revenue achievement, driving conversations within the entire Salesforce ecosystem especially C-level executives (Salesforce Practice Heads etc.), Marketing, Operations and Delivery.

Understanding of the Salesforce domain and ecosystem is a must, along with experience of driving strategic business initiatives with P&L responsibilities. This will be an individual contributor role to begin with, with the scope managing a dedicated team as the business expands.

WORK RELATIONS

- Main interfaces- with whom one has regular contact in carrying out one's duties (whom one reports to - direct & functional and to whom one has interface within and outside the organization?)

- Internal Interface Requires working with cross-functional teams (Delivery, Sourcing, Marketing, Finance)

- External Interface - Salesforce Training Division (Trailhead),

- Salesforce Practice Teams across the entire ecosystem comprising of Global System Integrators, Salesforce Practice Heads, Salesforce End User Clients, Target Group for the different programs

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

List the critical accountabilities that must be achieved in order that the job purpose is fulfilled.

a. Responsible for developing the overall strategy globally tied to the Salesforce partnership, including bringing joint initiatives to market and ensuring successful programs - with responsibility from ideation to post-launch and maturity.

b. Responsible to know customer needs through research and market data.

c. Develop and own the Business Plan, Go-to-Market strategy and P&L for the Manipal Salesforce Academy.

d. Conduct competitor and industry analysis for identifying and proposing product improvement initiatives

e. Manage the Salesforce Alliance to higher levels of maturity across Partner framework: Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Joint Initiatives, Delivery.

f. Drive long-term value for the Alliance channel through a combination of innovation and execution.

g. Liaise with cross-functional team to bring offerings to market: work with product or other operating groups to bring offerings to launch; work with marketing to build and execute on marketing plan; work with executives on to manage communications and updates.

h. Keep up with the latest features/functionality of the Salesforce training programs.

i. Working collaboratively to develop solutions with our architecture/delivery groups.

j. Demand Management, pipeline planning, budgeting and forecasting

k. Develop Salesforce Center of Excellence within Manipal and leverage them for a Global rollout.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

Qualification and Experience

a. Graduate - In any Field with minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry experience (L&D/EdTech/SaaS/CRM Industry/Cloud etc.)

b. Postgraduate - MBA with minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry experience (L&D/EdTech/SaaS/CRM Industry/Cloud etc.)

Skills and Knowledge and Competencies

a. Strong technology orientation and knowledge of the Systems Integrator marketplace; can come from an existing SI as well.

b. Industry Insights and KPIs- knowledge of market and industry trends and being able to set and track key KPIs

c. Successful product storytelling- that will be the defining factor if your product will be well received by your users or not.
