Manipal Global Education Services is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager-Marketing. This role brings an opportunity to drive key marketing initiatives for Manipal Academy of Higher Education, one of India's leading academic and research institutions. You'll be working with a team that drives demand for all MAHE's offerings and delivers compelling brand campaigns every year.
The primary responsibility of the role is to scale key initiatives like School Contact Programs, drive consistent engagement with Online Education Portals, and chip in with data analysis that improves our campaigns.
Why you should join us:
1. Industry: There's never been a better time to be in the higher education marketing space. The growth is explosive, and the marketing challenges are not just evolving, but also exciting.
2. Company: In a world where chasing crazy valuations at any cost is the norm, Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) stands out by being a value-driven company. We're famous for providing affordable and flexible learning solutions powered by technology, innovation, and passion. We don't just create value for all our stakeholders, but we also enable the next generation of learners and transform lives.
3. Team: We are a small team, each of whom cares deeply about marketing in general and education in particular. Most of us have 5+ years of experience in digital marketing alone and lots more experience beyond that, so you get a chance to get mentored by good people with plenty of experience. Also, we work as an integrated digital & marketing communications team. So, there's also a scope to pick up skills beyond your core role.
4. Role: While we will provide direction and mentorship, the aim is for team members to manage their work independently. If you enjoy the freedom and ownership that comes with this, we'd love to talk to you.
What we are looking for:
1. Someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in marketing with a firm grasp of the fundamentals of brand strategy and familiarity with digital, social, and content marketing.
2. Strong data analytical skills. We'd love to have people who can work with data and share insights that help the team make informed decisions.
3. The ability to structure solutions to challenges. This is critical because we'd like the person in this role to operate as independently as possible. For example, given a generic problem statement such as "What's required to grow a key initiative by, say, 2x in the next 12 months?" you should be able to frame what's required from an overall marketing perspective and where your efforts can add value.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent people skills. Because this role requires you to manage expectations of a wide variety of stakeholders (colleagues, faculty, vendors, and partners)
5. The ability to stay optimistic and move forward in the face of change and external bottlenecks. This is just as important as the other requirements.
Who you'll work with:
- Internal interface- All stakeholders within business and university teams
- External interface- Agencies, Publishers, Vendors
- Reporting Authority- Senior Marketing Manager
What you'll need to succeed in this role:
- Be a self-starter with strong goal orientation
- Stay focused on flawless execution, have a keen eye for detail
- Be good at building relationships (with peers and senior leadership)
- Stay on top of the marketing trends especially digital marketing
