R&R - Manager - Digital Platform
Role
Digital Platform Manager is a pivotal mid-level leadership position with the primary responsibility of supervising the entire lifecycle of mobile application development within our organization. This role is instrumental in moulding the trajectory of our digital footprint, ensuring that our projects encompass Android and iOS mobile applications, integration with marketplace portals, Google map-based analytics applications, and Power BI, all while remaining aligned with our business goals and maintaining a user-friendly, innovative, and efficient approach.
The Digital Platform Manager will work with a team of skilled professionals and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve the delivery of top-tier mobile applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Guardian for the sales, business, and end-user teams, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Sales Management Group, IT, and vendor teams. Oversee all phases of the platform's project lifecycle, from conception to retirement.
- Take the lead in Requirement Gathering and Analysis, the creation of Functional Documents, Design, and deployment of new platforms, working closely with internal teams and relevant vendors.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with the digital vision and drive progress in technical product ownership.
- Act as a liaison between development leads, solution architects, testers, and external vendors involved in project development.
- Promote product adoption, capture real-time feedback, and ensure regular refinements based on user adoption.
- Develop functional and integration test cases and conduct testing, evaluating the application's performance after each release.
- Prepare and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for the application support team, ensuring a smooth transition and effective support.
- Oversee the L1/L2 support team responsible for daily interaction with end-users to address application support needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify recurring patterns or trends in support tickets from previous months and devise action plans to prevent performance, application, or business issues proactively.
Candidates Profile
- B.E./B.Tech/Post Graduate candidates with 3 to 5 years of working experience in mobile app development.
- Should be an independent thinker and have the zeal to drive action spanning across multi-functional teams/vendors.
- Should be able to think at a higher level in terms of data flows and interface build-up to guide a team to come up with an optimal design for any development.
- Drive growth and enable differentiating Sales capabilities as a competitive advantage through innovative technology solutions.
- Lead cross-functional work tracks to translate market requirements into technical specifications, create and execute.
- Experience in different FMCG sales systems related to mobility apps (SFA, Loyalty and Point redemption), and integration with marketplace portals.
- Solid understanding of project management life cycle.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design.
- Working knowledge of SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos) will be a plus.
- Hands-on understanding of ADF, and SSIS process.
- Working knowledge of Android and iOS development platforms e.g., Native, PWA, Flutter, etc., API integration and location-based services (Google Maps) and PowerBI.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills to manage deliverables and timelines.
