Job Description : An excellent opportunity to lead the India operations of Global MNC player within the Oil & Gas (EPC) space.

Description : The role of Managing Director is one of the most multi-faceted and nuanced positions, along with keeping the workforce feeling part of a shared enterprise they are also required to stay on track to deliver the financials.

Below are a few key parameters for the MD to be successful in their role :

- Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.

- Reporting to the board, providing market insights and strategic advice.

- Developing and implementing business plans to improve cost-efficiency

- Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities.

- Overseeing the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures.

- Supervising, guiding, and delegating executives in their duties.

- Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated.

- Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.

- Building and enhancing the company's public profile at events, speaking engagements, etc.

Profile :

The ideal individual for the role should possess :

- 25+ years of experience with 10+ of those as a Managing Director of a similar organization within a similar industry.

- You possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) and an MBA Degree (both are a must).

- Applicants who additionally have an MS in Engineering would be highly desirable.

- Individuals with extensive experience abroad would be preferred

Apart from the above, you would also be assessed on :

- Engagement leadership

- The MD must be able to exude positivity and encouragement to galvanise a team behind a shared vision.

- You must have a combination of deep integrity, humility and people engagement skills.

- Commercial intellect - Business focus is the baseline of an effective Managing Director. You should truly understand the business, and the financial realities as well as act decisively.

- Strategic vision - Solid strategic understanding of customers' wants and needs. An ability to analyse information and distil it into organizing principles will be key to building a solid and bankable strategic vision.
