About our Client - Our client is a full service financial services platform offering wealth management, investment banking, private banking and brokerage services in India. Our client's Investment Banking platform is a boutique setup in India servicing clients across sectors including financial institutions, retail, consumer, industrials and technology, media and telecom. The bank has created a niche for servicing the financing needs of its clients through the capital markets and is thus looking for experienced deal makers who have a track record of executing deals in the equity capital markets for a senior coverage banker role within the Investment Bank.

Job Description - You will originate and execute equity capital market deals QIPs, IPOs, GDRs, and FPOs for your clients. You will manage a small team of execution bankers and guide them through the execution process. You will have full P&L responsibility for the bank's Investment Banking business. While the bank has a strong M&A franchise, there is a preference for a banker with strong capital markets experience

The Successful Candidate - You report to the Head of Investment Banking. You will have between 12 and 15 years of Investment Banking experience in India and have closed multiple deals in the equity capital markets. You will have strong relationships with leading corporates in India, having successfully originated deals in your current and previous roles. Relationships within the Financial Institutions space is a plus. This role is largely origination focused and you will have a supporting team of bankers with execution experience. An ability to demonstrate the depth in your relationships coupled with an outstanding deal making track record over your career will be imperative for the right candidate. You will have an in depth understanding of promoter mindsets in India and be able to immediately leverage your relationships to execute deals
