Manager - Valuations for Global Accounting firm in Gurgaon

Job Description:

- Valuation methodologies involved: Fairness opinions, Valuation advice in connection with acquisitions and disposals, Dispute resolution, Commercial and strategic valuation, Valuation advice related to accounting requirements (impairment tests and purchase price allocations)

- Manage a team of 20-30 people

- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery

- Focus teams on the key priorities while managing several medium-size projects

- Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area

- Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per clients needs

- Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps across locations, and devise alternative ways forward

- Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and clients expectations

- Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them

- Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk and complexity

- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

- Identify L&D requirements of counselees

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Full time MBA / qualified CA with 7-10 years of post qualification experience.

- Relevant experience of working on DCF & Relative Valuations projects

- Strong knowledge of valuation principles and finance

- 3-4 years of team management experience, must be handling a team of 8-10 people

- Excellent in client management & other operations activities

- Knowledge of research databases like Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Factset, Factiva, Thomson, etc.

- Sound grasp of MS Excel; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level

- Excellent written and spoken English skills, and be able to discuss and reason complex technical issues
