About Our Client

Our client is a research driven US pharmaceutical major specialising in niche drugs. They have commercialized their operations since 2007 and have grown stupendously to reach annual revenues of over 1 billion US Dollars. Their rapid growth is also supported by few major acquisitions.

Their India center of excellence is an effort to consolidate global support functions. They are looking for a Tax Manager specialising in US Taxation to help their US headquarters.

Job Description

Reporting to Global Tax Director based in US and Director - Finance Operations in India, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of information required to complete the Company’s VAT, Intrastate and indirect tax returns

- Computation, preparation and payment of monthly VAT payments for all entities

- Assist the Tax Supervisor to ensure that VAT returns are submitted on time and payments are made by the deadlines

- Support maintenance of Global Tax calendar with estimates, extensions and tax return filing time lines

- Setting up of provision workbooks of foreign entities Provide VAT assistance for US Headquarters

- Preparation of Gross Receipts Tax Returns

- Preparation of quarterly Board of Directors withholding tax payments

- Preparation of monthly foreign income tax provision journal entries Preparation of FBARs/LRD ASC740-10 calculations

- Reconciliations of Tax Accounts on a legal entity basis

- Updating of U.S. state apportionment percentages, state & foreign tax rate research and statute of limitations research

The Successful Applicant

- You are a CA/ CPA with 4-6 years experience in taxation focusing on US and International taxation in a shared services or BPO organization. You are a functional expert and are able to lead a function independently.

- You are motivated, have a go getter attitude and good interpersonal skills. You are looking to leverage your skill set in growing fast in a reputed multinational.
