The Opportunity:
- We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced US Tax Manager to join our growing team! In this crucial role, you'll leverage your in-depth knowledge of partnership and S corporation taxation, with a specialization in State and Local Tax (SALT) to provide exceptional service to our clients.
- You'll play a key role in managing engagements, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring the highest quality tax compliance for our clients in the Real Estate and Manufacturing & Construction industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation & Compliance:
- Prepare and review complex US federal and state tax returns for partnerships and S corporations, focusing on Form 1065 and Form 1120S.
- Possess deep expertise in SALT regulations and ensure clients benefit from all available deductions and credits.
- Manage all aspects of the tax compliance process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to professional standards.
Client Service & Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Real Estate and Manufacturing & Construction industries, understanding their specific needs and providing expert tax guidance.
- Communicate complex tax information in a clear and concise manner, building trust and exceeding client expectations.
- Actively participate in client meetings and present tax compliance findings and recommendations.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment that prioritizes learning and growth.
- Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback for development.
- Share your knowledge and expertise by contributing to training initiatives.
Technical Expertise & Research:
- Stay abreast of new tax laws and developments, particularly within the realm of SALT regulations.
- Conduct in-depth research to resolve complex tax issues and identify optimal solutions for clients.
Quality & Efficiency:
- Implement efficient processes to ensure high-quality deliverables are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure all tax advice is technically sound and well-documented, adhering to firm policies and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Taxation), or a related field (CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred).
- 8-10 years of experience in US tax, with a strong focus on partnership and S corporation taxation.
- In-depth knowledge of SALT regulations and compliance strategies for various industries.
- Proven experience with clients in the Real Estate and Manufacturing & Construction sectors (a plus).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize deadlines, and deliver results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous learning
