Job Title: Tax Manager - 1065 Federal

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team, specializing in 1065 Federal tax returns. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation and review of federal tax returns for partnerships, including Forms 1065, Schedules K-1, and related attachments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the preparation and review of federal tax returns for partnerships (Forms 1065)

- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns

- Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations

- Provide guidance and training to junior staff on 1065 Federal tax returns

- Review and approve tax returns prepared by junior staff

- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve tax-related issues

- Identify and mitigate tax risks and opportunities

- Develop and implement tax compliance processes and procedures

- Manage and resolve tax audits and examinations

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in tax preparation and review, with a focus on 1065 Federal tax returns

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred

- Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and regulations, particularly related to partnerships and pass-through entities

- Excellent research and analytical skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Proficiency in tax software and technology, such as UltraTax or GoSystem Tax RS.

Nice to Have:

- Master's degree in Taxation or related field

- Experience with international tax compliance

- Knowledge of tax accounting and financial reporting

- Experience with tax controversy and dispute resolution
