- The accurate and timely completion of all Administrative Payroll Processes for client
- Verification and completion of semi-monthly Administrative payroll
- Verification and entry of new hire, termination, and change information.
- Tracking and reviewing of weekly wage information, special deductions, expense reimbursements, and bonus payments.
- Reviewing printing and distribution of checks/direct deposit advises preparation of Direct Deposit ACH, and notification to appropriate personnel of payroll totals.
- Forward Special Deductions to the correct payees
- Timely completion of payroll to receive paychecks/direct deposits by the 15th and 30th of each month.
- To maintain compliance with existing tax laws, reducing the possibility for financial penalty
- Ensure the Payroll Clerks complete their work in an accurate and timely manner resulting in successful bi-weekly payroll runs.
- To supervise the payroll clerks on an as needed basis when backing up the Operations Payroll Supervisor’s position, resulting in the accurate and timely processing of the Operations payroll.
- To effectively communicate with Corporate, Field and Regulatory Personnel, Global/US team
The individual will periodically have to resolve payroll issues with various personnel, through the use of email, telephone, or written correspondence. All such communications will be performed in a professional business manner representative of the Payroll Department. He will also require to communicate effectively with Global/US team.
Basic Educational Qualification:Commerce Graduate (Bcom), M Com, Inter CA/ CA, ICWA
4-6 years of experience in F&A / Payroll BPO. Min 2 years in managerial role on US Payroll process.Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
Essential Attributes/Competencies / Skills:
1. Comprehensive and working knowledge of payroll systems
2. Demonstrated payroll management experience.
3. Legislative and award compliance – ability to interpret relevant awards and legislation.
4. Excellent knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
5. Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
6. Experience in Project Management, Six Sigma and other Quality tools & techniques
7. Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
8. Ability to solve problems in a logical manner through research, diligence, and available resources. Must be able to exercise independent judgment during this process.
9. Should be able to multitask, as well as set priorities and meet deadlines
10. Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
11. Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
12. Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
13. Ability to effectively communicate with client/ Global (US) team.
Reporting to: Senior Manager-Operations
Span of control (if any) :Capable of managing a team of 20-25 members independently
