Looking for an experienced Manager with UNDERWRITING OPTIMIZATION, ACQUISITION STRATEGY experience to join their growing analytics team Bangalore, India. About you :
You will be an experienced Manager looking to progress to the next level. You will already have a solid background in underwriting optimization, acquisition strategy and will ideally have led an Underwriting function previously.
You should have a sound understanding of the credit risk lifecycle, excellent stakeholder management skills and be comfortable providing support and guidance to your team on all aspects of lending decisions.
The role :
Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk, the successful candidate will optimize the performance of the Loan/ Mortgage/Cards portfolio including the development, deployment and monitoring credit strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive portfolio profitability across products; balance risk and reward to support the business's growth agenda whilst maintaining control of the credit quality and performance
- Support the delivery of Group initiatives to transform the credit risk infrastructure, providing insight to leverage new decisioning capabilities
- Optimise new and existing customer credit decisions for value, setting credit policy and strategies to execute this policy effectively
- Drive insight in to the performance of credit risk strategy performance, proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation and taking ownership to realise those opportunities
- Identification of and recommendation of changes to systems, processes and working practices to achieve operational efficiencies
- Provide insight to and set expectation for portfolio and segment trends through targeted analysis, forecasting and the development of regular MI
- Take ownership of credit risk initiatives; liaising with stakeholders ensuring that all decisions satisfy risk appetite and a delivered within the governance protocols of the organisation
- Support and maintain compliance with the control framework and governance standards to ensure activities and decisions are consistent with the risk appetite and legal and regulatory requirements
- Support the coaching and development of team members to ensure that they maximise their performance and continuously develop their capabilities and experience
