This position will co ordinate with Plants, Accounts, Taxation, IT, Legal, CFA's, Transporter's

Job purpose : Effective planning & managing the Transport Management System.

Responsibilities:

Freight contract:

- Responsible for annual freight contracts from 9 manufacturing locations for FG and 4 Locations for RM/PM with a high annual spend.

- Ensure freight contracts are made with clear terms & conditions and made available on time duly signed by internal & external stake holders

- Responsible for all Ad-hoc and short term freight movements and cost

- Vendor Management

- Responsible for value addition by hiring and retaining strong and effective vendors with an eye to meet optimum service levels

- Short listing and sourcing new freight vendors as per company guidelines and SOP Analysing vendor performance periodically and take corrective & preventive actions wherever required

- Conduct vendor meet along with concern stake holders and ensure resolutions / best practices implemented by co-ordinating with all the stake holders in the eco system

- Responsible for dispute management & resolutions and leading to win-win situation

- Effective management and closure of departed vendors as per SOP Freight Bill Processing

- Responsible for freight bill processing and payment release as per contract terms & conditions.

- Vendor A/c reconciliation and ensuring NDC immediately after financial year

- Co-ordinate with HO accounts, IT, plant accounts, plant logistics, depots & vendors to resolve issues / disputes, if any.

- Responsible for handling company's TMS (Transport Management System) to ensure that the end-to-end cycle (Vehicle indent to vendor payment) is effectively executed and eliminated all non-value added activities

- Initiate insurance survey and complete all the required documents for claim by co-ordinating with vendors, internal team and insurance service provider

Cost Reduction

- Working on alternate mode of transport, loadability study, cost, reverse logistics, new and strong vendors to reduce the overall transportation cost MIS - Monthly Transportation MIS (Load optimisation, transit delays & damages, Cost, vendor performance) with CAPA is prepared, analysed and ensured efficacy of the system is unaffected

- Process and SOP control

- Conduct Regular Checks on process adherence & surprise audits

- Responsible for identifying the gaps and strive for process / system improvements

- Knowledge in depth

- Excellent freight negotiation skills and cost analysis

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in using end-to-end transport management system

- Knowledge of insurance formalities

- Ability to effectively co-ordinate with large group of internal and external stake holders

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize

- Having keen analytical & Problem Solving skills

- Goal Orientation

- System and Process oriented

- Ability to handle timelines

- High level of integrity and honesty

Experience:

- Candidate from FMCG/F&B / or any other related Industry where large transportation volume independently being handled

Experience - Minimum 10 to 15 Years, preferably, with both corporate and plant experience
