Transaction Tax Manager

We are looking for Managers to join our growing Tax team in Brisbane. As part of our transactional tax team, you- ll work with a global network of talented advisors addressing the tax implications of strategic transactions. Your skills and knowledge will grow as you advise clients on a wide variety of projects, from acquisitions and disposals, to refinancing and restructuring.

In our friendly, collaborative environment, you- ll receive the support, formal training and coaching you need to progress quickly along the career path you choose.

In your role as a Manager you- ll :

- Assist with transaction documentation and tax modelling activities

- Carry out vendor due diligence and sell side tax advice

- Analyse potential tax exposures of a target business as part of our buy-side due diligence services

- Assist in obtaining tax rulings with respect to the desired tax consequences of a proposed transaction

- Conduct research and report writing

- Engage and liaise with other advisers to a transaction

- Build relationships internally and externally via business development activities

- Delegate but closely observe and coach junior team members

- Work closely with our Transaction Advisory Services team and broader tax subject matter experts

- Be the owner of project deliverables

- We are looking for people with the following experiences;

- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Commerce/Law ideally

- Expertise in Australian Tax

- Outstanding people management skills

- Demonstrated success building lasting relationships with clients and our people

- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and pressurized environment

- Experience in training and counselling junior staff
