Job Summary:

- We are looking for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to join our team. The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies and plans to maximize brand presence and drive sales growth in retail channels.


- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade marketing, sales, and retail management, with experience in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trade Marketing Strategy:

- Develop and implement effective trade marketing strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.

- Define and execute promotional activities, including point-of-sale materials, in-store promotions, and trade shows.

- Align trade marketing strategies with overall brand and marketing plans.

2. Retail Channel Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors.

- Develop and execute channel-specific marketing plans to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

- Monitor and analyse retail performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

3. Sales Support:

- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales tools, presentations, and promotional materials.

- Provide training and support to the sales team on trade marketing initiatives and product knowledge.

- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize trade marketing activities.

4. Promotional Activities:

- Plan and execute in-store promotions, merchandising initiatives, and special events to drive consumer engagement and sales.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and adjust strategies as needed.

- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all trade marketing materials.

5. Budget Management:

- Develop and manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

- Monitor expenditures and ensure activities are within budget.

6. Market Research and Insights:

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.

- Utilize consumer insights and market data to inform trade marketing strategies and decision- making.

- Provide regular reports and updates on trade marketing performance and market conditions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Sales Growth: Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.

- Market Share: Increase in market share within retail channels.

- Promotional ROI: Return on investment for trade marketing activities.

- Retail Partner Satisfaction: Level of satisfaction and engagement among retail partners.

- In-Store Execution: Quality and effectiveness of in-store promotions and merchandising.

- Budget Compliance: Adherence to trade marketing budget.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

- MBA from a reputable institution is preferred.

- 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or retail management, preferably in the FMCG sector.

- Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behaviour.

- Proven track record of developing and executing successful trade marketing plans.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
