Technical Implementation Manager
Supplemental Skills Relevant to Role:
Knowledge and Expertise:
- Experience in the delivery of multiple Application Development Projects from strategy through to deployment.
- Knowledge with different project/application methodologies e.g. RUP, CMM or CMMI, PRINCE II, PMI preferred.
- End-to-end software development lifecycle
- Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT
- Ability to work in a cross-platform environment (Windows XP/Vista/7, MacOS, AIX, Linux)
- Good motivational and team building skills.
- Should be able to plan and effectively manage most key aspects of large, complex application development projects.
- Works independently, assumes increasing levels of responsibility and interfaces with all levels of technology and business management.
- Should be able to align the business using technology i.e., apply technology at a strategic and system's level to solve business problems.
- Facilitation and negotiation abilities, innovative problem solving skills and proven risk management skills
Experience:
- Good level of experience of Incident & Problem Management disciplines
- Good level of experience of maintaining configuration items, raising changes and planning releases
- Experience in Java, Websphere and Application design
- Experience in ITIL Service Management
- Financial services (preferred)
- Large-scale blue-chip organisations such as Barclays (preferred)
Qualifications:
- BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours (preferred).
