The position is based in Hyderabad but may require travel. This is an individual contribution role.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
- Build a rolodex of potential customers for company's commodity grades in both HDPE and PP across the country and across various applications.
- Sell 100 - 150 tons of commodity polymer every month at opportunistic prices based on sound understanding of the general market, and local application context.
- Track price movements in the market and react to opportunities that short term price movements present.
- Work with the procurement, production, warehouse, logistics and quality teams to
complete the sales lifecycle - from communication customer demand to fulfilling orders in a timely way.
Skills Needed :
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly accountable individual with a "hustler" mentality.
- Stellar networking and sales skills
- Understanding of product costing and basic P&L
- Deep understanding of HDPE and PP polymers, compounds, and their applications
- Experience selling over 100 tons of HDPE and PP on a monthly basis
- Existing network of (and relationships with) potential customers
- Demonstrated high level of integrity and commitment to profitable sale
