Roles and responsibilities
- Serve as point-of-contact for US L&D to assign roles/responsibilities to L&D employees.
- Follow-up with L&D employees and ensure that deadlines are met
- Serve as a master facilitator for New Hire Training
- Be prepared to teach any module of New Hire Training on an as needed basis
- Have a deep enough understanding of all concepts within New Hire Training to create examples on the spot to clarify concepts on an as needed basis
- Provide recommendations to US L&D regarding potential employees to serve on a rotation in the L&D team
- Review the first round review of applications for the position
- Supervise the rotational, including assigning work, reviewing work and providing feedback to the rotational
- Provide recommendations to US L&D regarding potential employees to teach L&D courses, ensuring an adequate pipeline of instructors
- Review the first round review of applications for the position
- Coordinate timing of Train-the-Trainer and General Instructor Training
- Provide feedback and coaching regarding teaching and facilitation skills to instructors after observing them teach
- The coordinate culture of the learning initiative
- Ensure that at least two lunch and learns per location per non-busy season month are conducted by employees
- Review the materials for this lunch and learns for accuracy and relevance prior to the delivery of the materials by employees
- Send any materials that need a further technical review to US L&D team
- Ensure that each lunch and learn includes a culminating case study or activity to apply concepts discussed in the training
- Work with non-technical L&D team for timing, publicity, and availability of room
- Facilitate the creation of Study Groups
- Promote the creation of CPA study groups as well as Assessment Study groups for employees
- Compile questions written by employees and maintain a database of practice questions on various topics.
- Supervise facilitation of all logistical aspects of the training
- Coordination of the reservation of rooms
- CPE Focus request
- Printing of instructor binders
- Exam building
- Evaluation creation
- Review participant access (technology and case studies)
- Co-ordinate and conduct pre-test for participants prior to the training
- Send out the Welcome email.
Functional Skills - Essential
- Have a strong working knowledge of L&D concepts, theories and processes
- Should be a Certified stand-up facilitator
- Have working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Have a strong understanding of Instructional Design Models and Techniques
- Possess and demonstrable strong presentation and facilitation skills and be able to handle multiple audiences
- Possess outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
