Manager - Taxation - CA

We have an urgent opening for a Manager Taxation with a leading International MNC

Location: Mumbai

Major Accountabilities:

- Ensure there is no financial outflow on account of Tax non- Compliance through a diligent adherence to provisions as per Tax Law & regular Assessments avoiding high interest costs/penalties

- Improve Net Yield for the business through reduced financial exposure

- Work in coordination with tax advisors to collect documentation and reach the right conclusions on the nature of the business and make the correct representations in appeals etc.

- Be vigilant and drive compliance of regulations across the organization.

- Make investigations in the accounting system and study relevant reports to drive compliance and pro-actively detect and resolve any mis - interpretations.

- Coordinate data, documentation and any discussions with Group Tax headquarters in connection with cases for Principals in India.

- Be the knowledge specialist in own field of work and a reliable reference partner on various issues connected to taxation including proposed projects or restructuring.

Additional Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possess following skills:

- Solid knowledge of accounting theory

- Dedicated subject matter expertise

- Analytical skills

- Understanding of core business

- Result orientation.

- Good communication skills

Required Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant, must be able to demonstrate a clear financial understanding and book-keeping knowledge

- Candidate must have 4 – 6 years experience in the relevant field

- Good knowledge and understanding of, Tax laws, IFRS,MS Office esp. MS Excel as well as knowledge of current local systems & infrastructure

- Good command over English language
