Private Equity Structuring Group (PE Group)

- The PE Group which is a part of the Tax team assists Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure Funds to set up the Fund Structure and advise them to maintain it in tax efficient manner. The PE Group also assists Funds in structuring their transactions considering Tax Laws, Exchange Control Laws, Company Law, SEBI Laws, RBI Laws and other Regulations

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Developing PE sector expertise within Corporate Tax with other laws like Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, FEMA, RBI, CCI etc.

- Providing Tax and regulatory advisory services relevant to private equity funds investing in India

- Active involvement in project management –understanding the client needs and delivering the end product to the client

- Demonstrating strong technical knowledge in terms of domestic and international tax

- People development – Imparting training and coaching on the job

- Assisting in developing the Corporate tax team which includes hiring, resource planning and managing the team’s performance

- Responsible for Risk Compliance

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Qualified Chartered Accountants

- 5-7 years of experience

- Good analytical skills, communication skills and drafting skills

- Professionals with strong industry experience in domestic and International Tax laws.

QUALIFICATION

- Be a qualified CA (ideally 1st attempt)

SELECTION PROCESS

- Candidates would be required to go through 3 rounds of personal interviews to assess clarity on concepts, communication skills and attitude.
