Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of e-invoicing regulations and indirect taxation requirements for countries outside of India. Ensure that the company's practices align with these regulations.
- Product Team Liaison: Collaborate with the product team to communicate domain-related updates, prepare necessary documentation, and guide the team in analysis and implementation of tax-related features and solutions.
- Authority Engagement: Maintain ongoing communication with country authorities and other relevant partners to stay updated on changes and developments in the e-invoicing and indirect taxation domains.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a point of contact for customers and prospects, assisting them in understanding tax-related issues and requirements, and providing solutions to complex tax scenarios.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and manage documentation related to global indirect taxation. Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Global Tax Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of global indirect taxation, including VAT return filings. Familiarity with regulations in multiple countries is highly desirable.
- Government Relations: Experience dealing with government authorities or equivalent regulatory bodies.
- E-Invoicing Expertise: Proficiency in e-invoicing regulations and related tax domains. Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
- API Understanding: Good knowledge of APIs and their integration with tax regulations. Ability to map regulatory requirements with technological solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex tax-related issues and provide strategic solutions.
