Manager - Talent Engagement with Japanese Proficiency


Job description:

- Plan and conduct engagement initiatives for the business unit / division with the objective to motivate and retain employees

- Responsible for Rewards and Recognition in the division

- Roll out various programs targeting employee retention / engagement etc., e.g. New Joiners Delight, Employee Satisfaction Survey

- Identifying employees who are at risk and ensure recommendations are made to manage attrition

- Conduct exit interviews and report findings to HOD and Corporate HR

- Organise forums, working groups, seminars, road shows, training sessions, and other information-sharing activities involving staff

- Create and design Talent Management strategy for the organization and design interventions.

- Establish the need and relevance of Talent Management interventions to all stakeholders and solicit buy in and support.

- Support implementation / execution of organization wide OD / Change management interventions and projects

- Understand the competencies assigned to each roles with in the business unit, identify gaps and facilitate development.

- Project Manage the interventions to ensure on time completion with desired results.

- Manage the High Performer / High Potential talent pool of the organization and create interventions targeted towards their engagement, development and retention.

- Track the effectiveness of Talent Management and OD interventions

- Create tools and programs that integrate, grow and retain employees within the vertical

- Manage the dispute resolution process within the vertical

- Conduct open houses, skip level meetings with the Managers / employees to understand the issues/concerns

- Conduct shift meetings on a monthly basis to ensure HR issues are addressed

- Ensure timely & appropriate dissemination of all employee communication

- Responsible for timely closure of these issues

- Implement HR Policies & special initiatives rolled out by Corporate HR for the vertical

- Ensure compliance with the firms policies and practices

- Provide changes and feedback to the Corporate HR policies as required

- Provide input from a compensation perspective for salary increases or promotions recommended to Corporate HR

- Keep track of market information with regard to latest trends and practices by the competitors

- Implement the Performance Management Process within the business unit

- Facilitate the goal setting process with in the business units

- Support business in managing poor performers

- Facilitate Career Development conversation and plans for eligible employees with in the business unit.

- Assist the BU head in succession planning, defining career paths for critical employees

- Liaise with the Learning and Development function in creating various kinds of development, learning programs for identified target groups.

- Partner with L&D in the Training Need Identification process

- Establish strong relationships / trust with the business leadership, managers and employees.

- Spend time with the Business in understanding key variables, opportunities, challenges and its external and internal environment

- Conduct Market research on various HR / OD / Talent management requirements like HR benchmarks, industry best practices, market data, policies and procedures etc.

- Gather market / competitive customer data / information through different mediums like internet, forums, magazines etc.

- Provide perspectives to the business and influence / support the decision making process

- Be a part of all management reviews / account reviews of the business unit

Skills And Requirements :

- Min 5 years of experience in HRBP/ Talent Engagement role

- Experience in managing resources remote and multiple locations

- Proven ability working with reporting tools and dashboards to create meaningful insights for the TE team

- Demonstrated expertise and experience working on regional or global initiatives.

- Excellent communication skills

- Japanese language proficiency at N3 or below
