Manager - Sustainability - FMCG

A sustainability manager oversees the implementation of sustainability strategies during a construction project. This usually relates to the environmental impacts of the work being carried out, to ensure that the project adheres to the most economically and environmentally friendly methods possible.

A sustainability manager, also known as a director of sustainability or a chief sustainability officer, is responsible for analyzing and predicting the present and future of the firm they represent. They evaluate its effect on the health of the environment, particularly the immediate environment surrounding the firm.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Master's degree in env engineering / env mgmt. / business sustainability / environmental economics from a reputed institute

- Min 10 years of professional experience in industry and consulting with leading team of sustainability teams

- Flair for business development, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Good understanding of climate change and sustainability market in India

- Good knowledge/understanding of current environmental, social and sustainability topics such as ESG frameworks, rating mechanisms, ESG due diligence, different non-financial / sustainability reporting frameworks, climate change, responsible supply-chain, ESG rating, EHS and social regulations in India

- Good understanding of climate change and sustainability risks and opportunities for businesses and investors

- Language of any of the South Indian language will be an advantage
