JOB SUMMARY :
- Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overall management of materials right from procurement & warehousing to FG dispatch.
- Some of the key roles & responsibilities include inventory management, scheduling, vendor development, coordinating with regional/ central teams etc. on all material related matters etc.
- As Supply Chain Manager collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs, purchase supplies and materials as per the business requirement and coordinate & supervise receiving procedures.
- Drive and control operations for the department with respect to all legal and regulatory requirements whilst operating within the defined cost budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Scheduling of DG purchases and coordinating receipts of the same with Head Office/ Central Procurement Team.
- DG shortfall tracking/follow ups and arrangements
- Detention tracking and reduction with proper RCA
- Market bottle reconciliation ( Utilization /receipt/wastage/Debit)
- Weekly plan checks and adherence
- Vendor visits/Developments
- Artwork approval through LAMS
- DG write off control
- Submission of any report as required by Central procurement
- Ensure P to P process as per Procurement policy
- Ensure physical receipt and quantity verification at the time of receipt as per specified norms/standards.
- Regular and accurate inventory management of goods (Regular Stock Count coordination, documentation, disbursement, reorder etc.)
- Monitor the production losses of Dry Goods (Physical Issue/ Return) as per internal protocols/guidelines.
- Dispatch planning and scheduling of Finished Goods from factory premises
- Ensure compliance to all relevant departmental and company SOPs, guidelines, work instructions, protocols, etc. through regular review and action
- Effective co-ordination with Excise, Transporters, Bonds and internal/external customers
- Establishes procedures and supervises the physical inventory
- Implementing and sustaining the requirements of all relevant standards and management systems such as FSMS, FSSAI Sch. 4, ISO 22K, FSSC 22K, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45000/OHSAS 18000, GMP, etc. in the work area
- Implementing and maintaining 5S & Good Warehouse Practices in Store(s).
- Ensure daily upkeep (autonomous maintenance activities) of Material Handling Equipment in the warehouse
- Negotiating with scrap vendors as member of the Scrap Committee to obtain best scrap realization rates for the unit
- Efficient management of scrap (storage, handling, and disposal) as per the defined norms of the organization.
- Establishing a safety culture in the work area in concurrence with the local requirements, company guidelines and global standards
- Coordination with QA to facilitate smooth execution of all relevant Internal and External Audits and ensuring effective and time-bound closure of identified gaps in the work area
- Conducting skill gap analysis for all employees (permanent/contractual) in the work area, developing a need based training schedule, conducting trainings as per schedule and maintaining records of trainings.
- Daily/weekly/monthly/annual reporting in JDE
- Generating regular MIS reports for informed decision making to control cost and managing procurement/store operations
- Monthly reporting to HO Finance as per prescribed internal guidelines
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements/ procedures are followed in connection with the entire material related work
- Ability to identify and execute opportunities related to cost reduction in materials department.
