Our client is a New York City-based startup that has developed a radically different, patent-protected e-market technology to create the first truly liquid global exchange for diamonds - Think Nasdaq for diamonds.

They have developed a patent-protected technology to power a global, liquid market for both wholesale and investment diamonds. They are combining their revolutionary trading technology with deep knowledge and connections within the industry and providing a full gamut of clearing & settlement services.

The core team consists of people with varied technical backgrounds from reputed educational institutes such as the University of Virginia, UC Irvine and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). They have a solid team, traction and paying customers.

As a Supplier Relations Manager, you will be working with the supply team in grading and pricing the certified diamonds and achieving the assigned targets.

What you will do:

- Maintaining excellent contacts with all the major suppliers and medium level suppliers /manufacturers

- Identifying various suppliers which match with our demands/orders

- Determining buying requirements and formulate buying plan.

- Understanding customer buying behavior and build product value propositions based on customer preference.

- Obtaining competitive price quotes; negotiating procurement details with vendors.

- Maintaining suppliers database with leads, comments, feedbacks, etc

- Providing in-depth knowledge of price trends in the diamond industry

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- Candidate should have 7+ years of experience in the purchase of certified diamonds

- Should have in-depth knowledge of price trends in the diamond industry

- Should be results oriented and creative; possess strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

- Must have hands-on experience of working with vendors

- Should have good knowledge of grading and assortment of diamonds

- Should be able to work as a team and achieve the assigned targets

- Good Verbal/Written communication skills in English, Hindi, Gujarati, etc

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create reports and pivot tables

Salary offered: 12-14LPA
