Opening for Manager - Strategy for a reputed firm in Mumbai


- The Strategy team is responsible for formulation and deployment of the long-term strategy of the company as well as undertaking specific implementation projects that have a significant impact on the organization.


- The projects span across functions and range from defining road maps, project management, in-depth operational & financial performance improvement projects.


- Given the footprint of businesses (from affordable housing to integrated cities) and its leadership in areas such as sustainability and accountability, this is an excellent opportunity for anybody interested in getting a 360 view and create impact on how the built environment evolves.

Principal Accountabilities :

Business Planning & Strategy implementation :

- Annual Planning Cycle for Real Estate sector- ensure readiness for the annual Strategy, Operations and Budget with the Group Leadership

- Annualized action planning and deployment of the Strategy through a 'Balanced Score Card' (BSC) - finalization, integration and cross-functional linkages, communication to associates

- Strategy Implementation projects: Co-partner with functions & subject matter experts in execution of projects which are key to identified strategy roadmap - preparation of project charters, diagnostic studies, data analysis, solutioning & implementation

- New strategic initiatives encompassing the identification & formulating of strategy for non-core business assets through joint ventures, alliances, and divestitures. Conducting best use analysis, feasibility studies, sourcing prospects & closures

Strategic Alliances :

- End-to-end responsibility of building B2B alliances for the residential and industrial sector

- Improving customer living experience through value added services which helps in community building and place-making.

Market Intelligence :

- Build & maintain a strong external intelligence base on key market trends to help inform decision making

- Identify market dynamics in addition to social and economic trends- presenting findings, projections and recommended actions

Performance Measure of Success :

- Individual Accountability Shared Accountability

- Implementation of key projects - ROI

- Alliances identified and closed - Improve profitability

- Effective rollout of Strategy implementation roadmap - Business extension projects

- Strategy consultants - Senior management

- Market analysts - Functional teams for special projects

- Investment Bankers

Functional Competencies :

- Strategic orientation with good world view

- Ability to think innovatively & expansively

- Ability and eagerness to be a "solution provider" and "business partner" rather than an auditor

- Outstanding research & analytical abilities, program management skills (financial modelling skills will be a plus)
