Position Purpose and Summary:
As the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of assigned projects. You will be responsible for conducting industry and company research, performing financial analysis, managing projects, vendors, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Your expertise in strategic planning, project management, and operations will be crucial in optimizing organizational efficiency and achieving our business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough industry research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic initiatives aligned with the company's long-term goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute strategic plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Financial Analysis:
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights for decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.
- Provide guidance on financial implications and feasibility of strategic initiatives.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Coordinate project resources, tasks, and activities, ensuring effective collaboration among team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery of goods or services.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Optimize vendor selection and procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to established processes.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to address any performance gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement.
Person Profile:
- A Master's degree from a Tier I College in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategy development, financial analysis, project management, vendor management, and operations management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data.
- Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for research, analysis, and project management.
