API Commercial - Strategy & BD
Location : Bengaluru, India
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning
- Track and review updates on strat plan and record the same
- Forecast for all API for 5-10 years;
- Review with regional sales teamsTrack revenues/projections vs 5 year plan
2. Strategy Deployment
- Track customer lock-ins, key BD deals, etc.
- Track market expansion & associated revenue projections
- Track site qualifications & NPDTrack CAPEX requirements to meet 5/10 yr plan numbers
- Business cases for Capex expansions
3.Global Business Development
- Business cases for API+ deals and DRC for the same
- Opportunities with innovators / large pharma companies & high value opportunities
- Identify API, API+ & Gx markets, and generate opportunties for Gx portfolio
- Close agreements and review Profit share, supply agreements, term sheets, etc.
- Screen businesses and identify new business models for API business, identify new customer groups for specific products, etc.
- Networking with industry leaders
- Become a thought leader in the Gxfield, attend conferences, etc.Commercial Strategy Product Strategy
- Global sales strategy for products with key markets analysis, customer mapping, selling price, etc.
- Price Modelling -Elasticity modelling with impact on revenue / GM for products
Financial Analysis
- Analysis on profit mix, customer mix, baseline pricing by key geographies, etc.Budget Management -Prepare annual budget and Monthly tracking of budget and achievement, gap analysis
Portfolio Strategy Screening
- Screening generic molecules & molecules losing exclusivity in 5-7 years for portfolio
- Track yearly selection & plan portfolio pipeline-Maintain marketing wishlist for portfolio & plan pipeline Business Intelligence and Analytics Business around customer, market, products
- Molecule analysis, US market analysis, Generics bulletin, meta analysis of company results, company and product profiling
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 to 7 years of relevant pharma industry experience
- High energy individual with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on, collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company
- Strong leadership qualities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open minded, and innovative thinking
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information
- Good analysis, exposure of analytics tools & presentation techniques
