About the Client:-It's a global trading and distribution company with a network of offices and subsidiaries spanning more than 39 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to Develop and Deliver sales plan of Steel products
- Manage entire supply chain from sourcing to selling for the product lines- generating enquiry, making offer, contracting with supplier and customer, coordinating with various agencies to ensure performance as per contract.
- Ensure repeat business from existing customers
- Identify and develop new customers in markets (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and other countries in the region) and manage customers and ensure delivery of volume & margin targets for the assigned geography, basis global product line plans, on a monthly/quarterly/ annual basis
- Identify and develop new market segments
- Establish relationship with customers (rolling mills / re-rolling mills / traders)
- Ensure regular allocation from established sources
- Monitor market activities and contractual performance.
- Build effective network of insights sharing & connectivity within the Division/ Vertical
- Manage business risks, Settle customer complaints.
- Identify and recommend alliance partners
- Participate/support in Divisional and Vertical wide initiatives
- Track record in Sales/ trading profile
Basic technical knowledge of various Steel products
Sound trading experience of various Steel products in the Indian Subcontinent ; experience of mill sales in India
Good understanding of INCO TERMS 2010, UCP 600, contract exposure, marine freight ( container and/ or bulk), etc
Developed new and maintained relationships with customer in respective geography.
- able to translate strategies into practical action and deliver results ;
- Team Player - Ability to operate effectively in a multi-culturalteam environment (across time zone, work locations etc.)
- Independent thinker to support growth aspirations of the Division/ Vertical / Co.
Extensive Travelling in Indian subcontinent
- Ability to convert leads to deals
